Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Straight to it. We earn a commission when you buy through a link here. You pay nothing extra for it. The commission does not change the score we give a product, and we say when a product disappoints.
1. How this site makes money
creativesolutions.pt is free to read and sells no traditional ad space. Revenue comes from affiliate programmes: agreements with stores and manufacturers under which we receive a percentage of sales generated from our links.
That is what pays for hosting, for buying the products we test, and for the time spent writing the reviews.
2. What an affiliate link is
It is an ordinary link with an identifier of ours on the end. When you click, the destination store sets a cookie recording where the visit came from. If you buy — then, or in the following days, depending on each programme’s window — the store attributes the commission to us.
- The price is exactly the same as you would pay reaching the store by any other route. The commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket.
- Commercial links are marked in the code with
rel="sponsored nofollow"and open in a new tab, in line with Google’s guidelines. - We receive no payment data and do not know who bought. We see only aggregate totals in the affiliate network’s dashboard.
3. What an advertorial is
Some articles on this site are advertorials: commercial content written in editorial form, with the stated aim of presenting a product and leading to a purchase. They always carry a visible label at the top of the page. We do not dress them up as independent reporting.
The pieces in the “Reviews” section are different: they start from testing and real use, and can end in a negative recommendation.
4. How that affects what we write
The rules we follow:
- The commission does not set the score. A product with a high commission and weak performance gets a low score, and we say why.
- We only write about what we have tested or researched properly. Where an assessment rests on research rather than our own use, we say so in the text.
- No advertiser has a veto over published content, or prior approval of review copy.
- We publish the flaws. Every review has a section on weak points, because no product is without them.
- We compare against what you could pay elsewhere. Where a product is cheaper from the brand’s own store or at retail than through the link that pays us, the page says so.
5. Programmes we take part in
We currently take part, among others, in affiliate programmes operated by GiddyUp and similar networks representing the manufacturers of the products reviewed. The list may change over time, without altering the editorial rules above.
6. Prices, offers and availability
Prices, discounts, free items and delivery times mentioned are those in force on the date of publication or of the article’s last update. They change often. Always confirm on the seller’s site before completing a purchase — that is the information that counts.
7. Warranties and after-sales
We sell nothing and are not a party to the purchase contract. Returns, warranties, exchanges and refunds are handled directly with the seller, under their policy. See the Terms of Use.
8. Compliance
This disclosure exists to meet the applicable rules on native advertising and sponsored content — in particular the United States Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code and the Portuguese Advertising Code, all of which prohibit disguised advertising. Our principle is simple: before you click, you should be able to tell that we have a commercial interest in the click.
